Configured modes can be changed while the tool is downhole using pump-flow downlink commands. Rotary downlinking capabilities are also available, offering yet another option for power-users to maximize logging potential.
Adjustable module placement allows for some operational flexibility with alternative sensor positions.
Expanding the measurement capabilities of the tool with additional sensors is virtually limitless. However, more sensors need even more energy to operate.
Fortunately, up to three batteries can be included on to each tool for extended reach operations.
Rugged and Simple Tool Connection
Mechanically the tool string is assembled using a barrel-to-barrel, ratcheting MWD connection. Each module bulkhead is hermetically sealed up to 20,000psi.
The 4-blade, HNBR centralizers make a snug fit inside the tool carrier, especially when trimmed to fit precisely using the fin cutting kit (as shown below).
