Features and Benefits

Pulse Powerhouse

BOOST is our flagship series of mud pulse measurement while drilling tools. Tried and true, field proven tools, built tough and field proven to generate. providing a pulse signal that is engineered for reliability and built to handle driving it into the ground.

M-Ary encoding is practically an industry standard for most modern pulse MWD systems, and Boost is no exception. Rest assured that if a signal is detected then decode is possible with the right surface system.

Sensor Capabilities

Includes:

  • Inclination - Raw & Calculated with qualifiers
  • Azimuth - Raw & Calculated with qualifiers
  • Tool-face steering orientation
  • Ambient Temperature
  • MWD battery statistics

Additional sensors are available to expand the core capabilities:

  • Continuous Inclination & Azimuth
  • Azimuthal gamma, up to 16 sectors
  • Annular and laminar wellbore pressure
Modular Assembly

Flexible tool module arrangement to optimize sensor placement.

Assemble up to three battery modules on one tool string for extended reach operations.

Get the Program

Plenty of programmable possibilities; mode switching, customizable parameters & sequences.

Configured modes can be changed while the tool is downhole using pump-flow downlink commands. Rotary downlinking capabilities are also available, offering yet another option for power-users to maximize logging potential.

Rugged and Simple Tool Connection

Mechanically the tool string is assembled using a barrel-to-barrel, ratcheting MWD connection. Each module bulkhead is hermetically sealed up to 20,000psi.

The 4-blade, HNBR centralizers ensure a snug fit within the tool carrier. Fins are meant to be trimmed to fit the tool carrier precisely, our guided fin cutting system provides a measurable wayt to , for and performance while cutting costs.

This connection system improves the mean time between failures (MTBF) but also simplifies assembly and reduces shop service costs.

Fins are easily adjustable using our cutting system guide for and performance while cutting costs.

Pulse into the Future

The latest Pulser generation sets new standards with its high-speed telemetry and optimized power utilization. Rugged construction, designed to withstand harsh drilling environments with improved valve actuation and mechanical reinforcement, extending downhole longevity.

Smart DM One

All-in-One Directional Controller

SMART on the inside.
TOUGH on the outside.
BUILT to drill.

The SMART DM One is an integrated directional controller that combines an MPU, and orientation module, all in one chassis. This SmartDM comes standard with many advanced features built-in; dynamic inclination/azimuth, multi-axis shock/vibration, RPM, stick-slip, and more! Like most controllers, it also facilitates all internal MWD communications with auxiliary sensors, such as gamma, resistivity, or any unique variable modules with proprietary measurement capabilities.
What does the MP in Boost-MP mean?

MP means "mud pulse" and refers to the signal transmission system a BOOST tool uses to deliver data to the surface.

How does it work?

Could you be more specific?

What are the advantages?

BOOST MWD systems offer several benefits reliable performance, flexible mechanical design. The tool is highly configurable so operators can make adjustments to logging sequences or data parameters prior to deploying downhole.

Is it compatible with my existing MWD system?

Boost is based on the QDT 1.6 standard, a popular MWD framework that has become the unofficial industry standard for most modern MWD tools.

Pulses are generated using M-Ary encoding, a robust and reliable technique that many commercially available MWD systems use today.
