BOOST BENEFITS

Pulse Powerhouse

BoostMP is a time-tested and field proven MWD system that has everything you need to get the job done. Every style of Boost includes the core technology you need to accurately measure, log, and transmit telemetry to the surface while drilling through the Earth's crust.

Boost is our flagship MWD platform that uses a robust mud pulse transmission system to deliver wellbore telemetry to the surface, pulse by pulse.

All for Good Measure

Standard measurement capabilities for all BoostMP tools include:

  • Inclination - Raw & Calculated with qualifiers
  • Azimuth - Raw & Calculated with qualifiers
  • Tool-face Orientation, Magnetic & Gravity
  • Ambient Wellbore Temperature
  • MWD Operating Statistics

Advanced packages add even more capabilities, such as:

  • Continuous Inclination & Azimuth
  • Azimuthal Gamma, Up to 16 Sectors
  • Annular & Laminar Wellbore Pressure
Modular Assembly

Adjustable module placement allows for alternative sensor positions for some operational flexibility. The core system can be expanded with optional supplemental sensors for even more measurement capabilities.

Two battery modules are most commonly used for standard operations but up to three battery modules can be deployed for extended reach operations.

Pulse Width the Program

Programmable possibilities; mode switching, customizable parameters & sequences.

Configured modes can be changed while the tool is downhole using pump-flow downlink commands. Rotary downlinking capabilities are also available, offering yet another option for power-users to maximize logging potential.

Rugged and Simple Tool Connection

Mechanically the tool string is assembled using a barrel-to-barrel, ratcheting MWD connection. Each module bulkhead is hermetically sealed up to 20,000psi.

The 4-blade, HNBR centralizers ensure a snug fit within the tool carrier. Fins are meant to be trimmed to fit the tool carrier precisely, our guided fin cutting system provides a measurable wayt to , for and performance while cutting costs.

This connection system improves the mean time between failures (MTBF) but also simplifies assembly and reduces shop service costs.

The importance of tool centralization is sometimes  understated, but crucial to downhole longevity and failure mitigation. Fins can be cut precisely for a snug fit inside the tool carrier using the fin trimming guide (shown above), with each side  for most majo for and performance while cutting costs.

This connection system improves the mean time between failures (MTBF) also simplifies assembly and reduces shop service costs.

Pulse into the Future

M-Ary pulse encoding is the unofficial standard used by a wide range of MWD systems. Rest assured that if a signal is detected then decode is possible with the right surface system.

SMART DM One

Directional Controller

S.M.A.R.T. on the inside, TOUGH on the outside. Built to DRILL

The SMART DM One is an integrated directional controller that combines an MPU, and orientation module, all in one chassis. This SmartDM comes standard with many advanced features built-in; dynamic inclination/azimuth, multi-axis shock/vibration, RPM, stick-slip, and more! Like most controllers, it also facilitates all internal MWD communications with auxiliary sensors, such as gamma, resistivity, or any unique variable modules with proprietary measurement capabilities.
The JAE SMART DM One directional controller is an superior wellbore measurement solution, intended to be a drop-in replacement for legacy directional modules and the downhole controller of choice for the BOOST MWD platform.
The all-in-one chassis comes stock with many advanced features and packs more capabilities inside a chassis half the length of conventional directional controllers.
